The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is consolidating changing the way the Universal Service Fund (USF) fee assessed on all wireless carriers. This change would mean that each NET10 customers could pay almost $1.00 or more per month, even if the customer used little or no long distance service during the month. Prepaid wireless already pays its fair share into the USF, but the $1.00 fee would increase NET10'S USF taxes by 1,600 percent!
